Okara: The Pakistan Army successfully intercepted and shot down 5 Indian drones near Okara Cantt, thwarting another infiltration attempt along the border.

Sources report that the incident took place in the vicinity of villages 15/4L and 11/4L, where multiple drones crossed into Pakistani airspace. The Army’s air defence units responded promptly, neutralising the threat before it could escalate. The downed drones landed in agricultural fields close to residential areas, causing slight crop damage but no casualties.

This incident follows a similar event the previous night, when air defence units in Bahawalnagar took down another drone, reportedly of Israeli origin.

Officials highlighted that on May 7 and 8, India deployed several Israeli-manufactured drones targeting different areas of Pakistan. Most of these drones were intercepted and destroyed before hitting any intended targets.
