Shanghai: President Asif Ali Zardari has reaffirmed that Pakistan’s friendship with China will continue to grow stronger across generations, stressing that no hostile elements can undermine this relationship.

During his visit to Shanghai, President Zardari met with the Secretary of the Communist Party of China. First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were also present at the meeting, which focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation.

The President also attended a ceremony where three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, covering agriculture, technology, and environmental cooperation. He emphasised that these agreements represent practical steps toward deepening the Pakistan-China partnership.

Separately, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held meetings with representatives of a Chinese construction company, advisors from the Belt and Road Information Industry Union, and other business delegations. The discussions explored investment opportunities in Pakistan’s renewable energy sector.
