Pakistan faces sugar price hike just before Ramadan

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data, the price of sugar increased to Rs160 per kg in retail marketplaces in Pakistan.
According to government data, residents of Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad purchase costly sugar in Pakistan, which costs Rs160 per kg.
In Gujranwala, Sialkot, Khuzdar, and Quetta, sugar is sold for Rs155 per kg, whilst in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, and Larkana, the same item is offered for Rs150 per kg.
The price of the commodities is Rs150 per kg in Rawalpindi and Lahore and Rs145 per kg in Sargodha, Multan, and Gujranwala.
The price of sugar is Rs150 per kg in Bannu and Quetta, Rs148 per kg in Hyderabad, and Rs145 per kg in Bahawalpur and Sukkur.
