Pakistan hopes ceasefire with India will hold, says DG ISPR

Islamabad: Director General ISPR, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has expressed hope that the ceasefire between Pakistan and India will remain intact.

In an interview with a U.S. publication, the military spokesperson said that hotline communication between senior officials of both countries remains active, even during the recent four days of missile and air strikes. He added that Pakistan has been transparent about the human and material losses, and expects the same from India.

In a separate interview with a Turkish news agency, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry highlighted that Pakistan is currently the most terrorism-affected country in the world.

He revealed that since January 2024, Pakistan has faced over 3,700 terrorist incidents, resulting in the martyrdom of 3,896 people. He accused India of backing and encouraging these terrorist activities.
