Increases Kerosene and Diesel Prices

ISLAMABAD: The price of kerosene oil in Pakistan increased on Saturday, following a rise in petrol and diesel prices. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) issued a notification confirming the price hike. Kerosene oil is now priced at Rs185.05 per litre, up from Rs181.71, marking an increase of Rs3.34.

Similarly, the cost of light diesel oil also rose. The price per litre increased by Rs1.22, bringing the new rate to Rs163.98, up from Rs162.76. These price adjustments come after the government’s recent decision to raise petrol and diesel rates for the first half of November.

Petrol prices were increased by Rs2.43, bringing the new rate to Rs265.45 per litre. Diesel rates also went up by Rs3.02, with the new price set at Rs278.44 per litre. The price hikes are part of a broader strategy to align local fuel costs with global market fluctuations.

Officials explained that these price adjustments reflect ongoing changes in global oil prices. They stressed that such revisions are necessary to maintain fair pricing and manage the impact of international market trends on local consumers. The government has urged consumers to plan their fuel usage accordingly.

This price revision is part of Pakistan’s regular adjustments in petroleum product rates. The government aims to ensure fair pricing and mitigate the impact of global oil price fluctuations on local consumers.
