Pakistan Rejects Terrorist Support, Sends Clear Message to Taliban

During the second day of Pakistan-Afghanistan talks in Istanbul, Pakistan firmly stated that it will not accept any kind of support for terrorist groups. The Pakistani delegation made it clear that improving bilateral relations depends on the complete elimination of terrorism. According to security sources, Pakistan delivered a final and strong message: no compromise will be made when it comes to terrorism. Pakistan made it clear to the Afghan Taliban.
Security officials reported that the Afghan Taliban’s arguments during the talks were unrealistic and disconnected from ground realities. Pakistan emphasized that the Taliban must take solid and verifiable steps to stop terrorist networks operating in the region.

The Pakistani delegation presented evidence-based demands and urged the Taliban to act sincerely if they truly wish for stability in Afghanistan and the wider region. Without visible and practical measures, Pakistan said, progress in the negotiations would be impossible.
According to sources, Pakistan’s key demand is action against terrorist groups such as “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan.” Officials stressed that these groups are a threat not only to Pakistan but to the peace of the entire region, and eliminating them is also in Afghanistan’s best interest.
