Pakistan Removes Taxes on Global Shopping Platforms

Minister for IT and Telecommunications Shaza Fatima Khawaja announced a major relief for Pakistani consumers. She confirmed that taxes on international platforms have been removed.
The Federal Board of Revenue has officially lifted duties on purchases from platforms like Amazon, Netflix, and Spotify. This move makes subscriptions and products cheaper.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja explained that the policy aims to encourage digital consumption and support access to global services for Pakistani users.
The tax removal is expected to boost online shopping and increase digital service adoption across Pakistan. Consumers can now enjoy better deals.
Officials stated that this decision aligns with government efforts to modernise digital infrastructure and make international services more accessible for all citizens.
