Pakistan Secured Over $10 Billion in Foreign Loans During FY 2024-25

Islamabad – The Government of Pakistan secured a total of $10,100.85 million in foreign loans during the financial year starting July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, according to details presented in Parliament by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
The report reveals that Pakistan signed agreements for 29 international loans during the fiscal year. These loans were sourced from multilateral organizations, bilateral development partners, and commercial banks.
Out of the total confirmed loan amount, $6,682.4 million was disbursed within the same fiscal year, while the remaining amount is expected to be released in future tranches.
The government has also provided Parliament with project-wise breakdowns and information on how these funds will be utilized across various development initiatives and sectors.
