Pakistan Set to Play Confident Cricket Against India

Pakistan opener Saim Ayub said the team is determined to play fearless cricket throughout the tournament, not just against India. Speaking at a press conference in Dubai, he said the Pakistan–India clash excites fans, but the team prepares equally for all matches. He added that consistent focus and effort are key. Every game is treated with the same level of seriousness and preparation.
Ayub highlighted the importance of team unity and belief in the process. He said the players trust each other and work for team success. Even if someone fails in one match, they can win the next. The goal is not to depend on individuals but to build a winning squad of 11 to 15 players. Everyone must contribute to create a strong and balanced team.
Regarding match-day plans, Ayub explained that effort and preparation are in their hands, but performance can’t be predicted. He noted that the team had assessed a dry pitch and might consider batting first. However, final decisions will be made after reviewing conditions on the day. The team is ready to adapt as needed.
Ayub also mentioned that team selection will depend on match conditions. If spin-friendly, they will play three spinners. If pace is more suitable, they will go with fast bowlers. Coaches will decide based on what gives the team the best chance to win. The strategy is to be flexible and condition-focused.
He concluded by saying the squad is learning from past experiences and focusing on present improvements. “What happened yesterday doesn’t matter,” he said. The goal remains to win the tournament by playing brave and positive cricket. Ayub stressed that this fearless mindset applies to every opponent, including India.
