Pakistan Stock Exchange hits all-time high as new fiscal year begins

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) kicked off the new fiscal year with a strong rally, as the benchmark KSE-100 Index surged by 2,572 points to close at a record high of 128,199.

On the last trading day of the previous fiscal year (June 30), the index had already climbed 1,248 points to close at 125,627. So far in fiscal year 2025, the index has gained a remarkable 47,182 points in total.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over the PSX’s historic performance, calling it a positive sign of economic momentum. He stated that the new fiscal year has begun with encouraging news and key economic progress.

The Prime Minister thanked investors for their growing confidence in the government and reaffirmed his commitment to creating a more business-friendly environment with enhanced support and facilities.
