Pakistan Urges Global Support in Fight Against Terrorism: Mohsin Naqvi

ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called on the international community to extend its full support to Pakistan in its ongoing fight against terrorism. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by the country’s security forces serve as a global example of commitment and resilience.

Speaking during a meeting with Lord Wajid Khan, UK Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Faith, Communities, and Resettlement, Mohsin Naqvi stressed the importance of international cooperation in counter-terrorism and security efforts. The meeting, held in Islamabad, focused on strengthening Pakistan-UK bilateral ties and exploring collaboration in various sectors, including the prevention of cross-border crimes.

Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan is keen to deepen cooperation with the United Kingdom in areas of mutual interest. He reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to regional peace and global security.

Lord Wajid Khan strongly condemned the recent attack on the Jaffer Express and expressed condolences to the families of the victims. He acknowledged Pakistan’s considerable sacrifices in the war against terrorism and praised the resolve of its people and institutions.

The interior minister added that Pakistan is the only country where people from all walks of life have made enduring sacrifices to combat terrorism. He called for timely international support, noting the critical role the UK could play.

During the meeting, Lord Wajid Khan also thanked the Ministry of Interior for facilitating the relocation process of Afghan refugees to the UK.

Naqvi stated that the repatriation of illegal foreign nationals is being handled respectfully and that individuals with valid documentation are not facing any issues.
