Pakistani Mountaineer Sirbaz Khan
Renowned Pakistani mountaineer Sirbaz Khan has successfully climbed Tirich Mir, the highest peak of the Hindu Kush range.

The achievement adds another milestone to his mountaineering career and brings pride to the nation.

The expedition, named Tirich Mir Expedition 2025, was organised by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority. A team of national and local climbers participated in this mission. The climb highlighted both adventure and tourism potential in northern Pakistan.

Standing at 7,708 metres, Tirich Mir is the tallest peak in the Hindu Kush. It was first conquered by a Norwegian team in 1950. This year marks the 75th anniversary of that historic ascent, celebrated as the Platinum Jubilee.

Sirbaz Khan was joined by two young climbers from Chitral, Akmal Naveed and Shamsul Qamar. They reached up to 7,200 metres but were unable to summit. Despite this, their effort received recognition and encouragement.
