Partial Solar Eclipse

A partial solar eclipse will take place today, March 29, but it will not be visible in Pakistan, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The eclipse will be visible across parts of Europe, Northern Asia, North/West Africa, much of North and South America, as well as the Atlantic and Arctic regions.

The partial solar eclipse will begin at 13:51 PST, reach its maximum at 15:47 PST, and conclude by 17:44 PST. However, for residents of Pakistan, the event will not be visible due to the positioning of the celestial bodies.

This partial eclipse is the first of two solar eclipses in 2025. The second solar eclipse, a total solar eclipse, will occur on September 21-22, 2025, but like the upcoming event, it will also not be visible in Pakistan. This eclipse will be observable from South Australia, the Pacific, the Atlantic, and Antarctica.

Earlier this month, a total lunar eclipse occurred, which was visible from various parts of the world, including Europe, much of Asia, Australia, Africa, North and South America, and across the Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic, and Antarctic regions.
