Peshawar: In light of a flash flood advisory, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has announced the cancellation of weekend holidays for April 19 and 20 (Saturday and Sunday).
According to PDMA officials, all personnel—including those at the Provincial Emergency Operations Center and divisional-level reporting officers—are required to report for duty on both days.
The decision aims to ensure timely reporting, effective coordination, and prompt emergency response in the event of any untoward incident due to heavy rains or flooding.
All staff have been directed to remain on high alert, and the Emergency Operations Center will remain fully operational throughout the weekend.
