People weighing less than 50 kg in China are instructed to stay at home!

In a rare warning, China’s state media has advised people weighing less than 50kg to stay indoors, as the country braces for its strongest windstorm in a decade.

From 11 to 13 April, the Beijing Meteorological Service raised its wind alert to orange — the second-highest level on China’s four-tier warning system.

Winds as strong as 150km/h were expected to hit Beijing, Tianjin, and parts of Hebei province, blowing in from Mongolia.

“This strong wind is extreme, lasts for a long time, covers a wide area, and is highly dangerous,” the agency said.
