Peshawar bans sale of toy guns and firecrackers ahead of Eid

PESHAWAR: The district administration of Peshawar has imposed a ban on the sale and purchase of toy guns and firecrackers under Section 144, aiming to maintain law and order during the upcoming Eid celebrations.
According to officials, the ban has been enforced to prevent potential disturbances and ensure public safety. Strict action will be taken against violators under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Authorities have warned shopkeepers and vendors against selling toy guns and firecrackers, particularly during Eid, to avoid any unlawful activities or public nuisances.
Suicide Blast in Naushki Leaves Six Martyred
Meanwhile, at least six people, including three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, were martyred in a suicide blast targeting an FC convoy in Naushki, Balochistan.
According to security sources, a suicide bomber detonated explosives near an FC convoy, prompting a swift response from security forces. In the ensuing operation, three terrorists, along with the suicide bomber, were neutralised.
