Peshawar Zalmi's key player was bought by the IPL franchise for 30 million

In a notable move, the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings has signed Mitchell Owen, an important player from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Peshawar Zalmi.

According to media reports, Mitchell Owen represented Peshawar Zalmi under the leadership of Babar Azam during the PSL. He had joined the team as a supplementary player, replacing South African cricketer Corbin Bosch. After the end of his PSL contract, Owen has now officially joined the IPL.

Punjab Kings brought Owen into their squad to fill the gap left by the injured all-rounder Glenn Maxwell. Reports suggest that he has been signed for INR 30 million (3 crore).

This development comes amid tense political relations between India and Pakistan, and Owen’s participation in the IPL has sparked discussion among cricket fans and analysts.
