A petition demanding the revocation of Elon Musk’s Canadian citizenship has gained momentum, amassing over 340,000 signatures. The initiative, launched by author Qualia Reed in British Columbia, has also received support from NDP MP Charlie Angus.

Musk, who was born in South Africa, moved to Canada at 17 to attend Queen’s University before transferring to the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. He later became a U.S. citizen in 2002 after living in the country on various visas.

The petition alleges that Musk’s global influence negatively impacts foreign governments, sparking debate over his Canadian citizenship status. As the billionaire continues to lead Tesla, SpaceX, and other ventures, discussions surrounding his nationality remain a hot topic in political and public circles.
