Petrol and Diesel Rates May Go Down Across Pakistan

A proposal has been sent to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recommending a significant reduction in fuel prices across Pakistan, sources confirmed on Monday. If approved, the move is expected to bring much-needed relief to citizens grappling with inflation.

According to the proposed plan, the price of petrol could be reduced by Rs 8.27 per litre, bringing the new rate down to Rs 246.36 per litre. Similarly, a Rs 6.96 per litre decrease has been suggested for high-speed diesel, which would lower its cost to Rs 251.68 per litre.

In addition to these adjustments, the prices of light diesel and kerosene oil are also expected to see a cut of Rs 7.21 per litre, further easing the burden on consumers.
