Petrol Prices

Islamabad: Petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan are likely to rise from November 1, following the impact of U.S. sanctions on major Russian oil companies and ongoing volatility in international crude markets.

According to official sources, petrol is expected to increase by Rs 1.48 per litre, while kerosene oil may see a rise of Rs 2.34 per litre. If current trends continue, the estimated prices from November 1 could be:

  • Petrol: Rs 264.50 per litre

  • High-Speed Diesel (HSD): Rs 276.80 per litre

  • Kerosene Oil: Rs 184.05 per litre

  • Light Diesel Oil (LDO): Rs 163.25 per litre

However, the final prices will be confirmed on the evening of October 31, after a detailed review of the 15-day import data and exchange rate fluctuations.

Officials noted that the potential hike reflects the global oil market’s instability caused by fresh U.S. sanctions on Russian energy firms, which have tightened crude supply and driven prices upward.
