PIA Logo Balloon in Occupied Kashmir Sparks Panic Among Indian Forces

Srinagar: A balloon carrying Pakistan International Airlines’ logo caused panic among Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. Authorities quickly placed security units on high alert.
According to reports, the balloon was seen in the New Basti area. As soon as it appeared in the sky, Indian forces rushed to the site. They cordoned off the neighbourhood and imposed heightened security measures.
The sudden reaction created an unusual situation. Local residents witnessed heavy movement of soldiers. Many expressed surprise at the extraordinary response to a harmless object floating in the air.
Kashmiri citizens mocked the overreaction. They joked that a “children’s toy had put an entire army on alert.” They said the incident proved Indian forces remain insecure and fearful, even of harmless objects.
Residents further argued that a military force armed with advanced weapons should not panic over a balloon. They said such fear highlights the weakness of Indian authorities.
This is not the first such incident. Earlier in March, another PIA logo balloon was found in the Samba region. That episode also triggered a similar display of unnecessary alarm from Indian forces.
