PM Shehbaz Meets Azerbaijan President, Agrees to Boost Investment Cooperation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev during his official visit to Baku. The meeting focused on strengthening ties between the two countries, especially in political, trade, and investment cooperation. Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir also attended the meeting, reflecting the importance of this bilateral engagement.

During the talks, both leaders agreed to further enhance cooperation in various fields, including energy, connectivity, defense, and trade. They expressed commitment to developing long-term partnerships that could benefit both nations economically and strategically.

President Ilham Aliyev praised Pakistan’s positive role in promoting regional stability and peace in South Asia. He acknowledged Pakistan as a reliable partner and appreciated its efforts in fostering mutual understanding among neighboring countries.

The Azerbaijani President also accepted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation to visit Pakistan soon. This visit is expected to strengthen political dialogue and create new opportunities for collaboration across multiple sectors.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Azerbaijan’s victory serves as a ray of hope for the people of Kashmir and Palestine.
