President Zardari congratulates Field Marshal Asim Munir and Air Chief Zaheer Babar

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated General Syed Asim Munir on his promotion to the rank of Field Marshal, calling it a recognition of his exceptional service in the defence of the nation.

In his statement, the President praised General Munir’s leadership in effectively responding to Indian aggression and thwarting hostile intentions, stating that under his command, the Pakistan Armed Forces achieved decisive strategic success.

President Zardari also lauded General Munir’s role in safeguarding national sovereignty and leading the fight against terrorism, acknowledging that the entire nation appreciates his contributions.

He further congratulated Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu on the extension of his tenure, noting that under his command, the Pakistan Air Force delivered a strong and effective response to adversaries.

The President extended his best wishes to both military leaders for their continued service to the country.
