Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared today (Sunday) a national Thanksgiving Day in recognition of Pakistan’s strong response to Indian aggression and the successful execution of Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs.

The Prime Minister emphasised in a statement that the purpose of this day is to celebrate the Pakistan Armed Forces’ unmatched valour, show appreciation to Almighty Allah, and acknowledge the nation’s togetherness and resiliency.

He noted that Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs delivered a decisive and effective response to the enemy’s hostility, proving Pakistan’s superiority across all fronts. The Prime Minister remarked, “We are grateful to Allah for giving us success and dignity during this crucial time.”

Despite provocations from the enemy, Pakistan exercised restraint and patience, he added, while ensuring its defence through complete preparedness.

The people, particularly religious academics, were asked by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to plan special prayers and Thanksgiving traditions around the nation. In recognition of the veterans’ and martyrs’ priceless sacrifices, he asked for prayers.
