Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Meets Sri Lankan President

During the 80th Annual Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Both leaders discussed important regional and global issues and expressed a strong commitment to further strengthen Pakistan-Sri Lanka relations.

In the meeting, they talked about increasing cooperation in many areas, including trade, education, defense, and exchanging high-level delegations. Both sides agreed that working together in these fields would benefit their countries.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif praised the close and friendly ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He said that both countries are committed to expanding their cooperation and building stronger bonds.

The two leaders also agreed to promote exchanges in sports, especially cricket, which is popular in both countries. They believed that these exchanges would help bring the people of Pakistan and Sri Lanka closer.
