PTI Leader Aliya Hamza Granted Bail in Rawalpindi Protest Case

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aliya Hamza was granted post-arrest bail on Wednesday in a case related to a political protest in the Dhoke Kamal Din area of Rawalpindi.
Aliya Hamza, along with five other PTI workers, had been arrested following a demonstration that allegedly led to the disruption of public order. According to the First Information Report (FIR), the group were accused of blocking roads and interfering with official duties. The FIR also included claims that stones were thrown at police personnel during the protest.
After reviewing the case, Judicial Magistrate Qamar Abbas approved Hamza’s bail, setting the condition of surety bonds worth one million rupees.
The case is part of a broader crackdown on political protests in the region. PTI representatives have called the charges “politically motivated”, while authorities maintain that legal action is being taken to ensure public safety and order.
