PTI Leader Junaid Akbar Resigns as Chairman of Public Accounts Committee

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Junaid Akbar has stepped down from his position as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), stating that the position was a trust of the party, and he has resigned on the instructions of the party leadership.
He submitted his resignation to PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, affirming that he fully accepts every decision made by the PTI founder. Junaid Akbar added that if directed, he is even willing to resign from his National Assembly membership.
Barrister Gohar confirmed that the party had received instructions regarding the matter last night and termed it an internal party matter that is being implemented accordingly.
It is worth noting that Junaid Akbar was instructed to vacate the PAC chairmanship by the PTI founder and the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and he has complied with the directive.
