PTI Worker Falak Javed Sent to Jail on 14-Day Judicial Remand
Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Falak Javed has been sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand in connection with two separate cases related to alleged misuse of social media against state institutions and a female provincial minister.

According to a report published in Dawn, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) presented Falak before Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo after completing her physical remand.

After reviewing the case record, the magistrate ordered that Falak Javed be sent to jail on judicial remand for 14 days.

In a separate development, an anti-terrorism court granted police permission to interrogate Falak Javed in jail regarding a case related to attacks and vandalism outside Zaman Park. This case was registered at the Race Course Police Station in Lahore.

The court directed that the investigation be carried out within the jail premises.

Falak Javed was arrested by NCCIA from Islamabad, while her sister, Sanam Javed, is already imprisoned at Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail. Sanam is serving a five-year sentence in connection with the May 9, 2023, attack on Shadman Police Station.
