Following Quetta Gladiators’ loss to Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 final, head coach Moin Khan acknowledged the team’s strong tournament performance while pointing to pressure-handling issues as a key reason for the defeat.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Moin Khan congratulated Lahore Qalandars on their victory, stating:

“It was a good match overall. Lahore successfully chased a big target. They deserve full credit.”

Moin highlighted that Quetta Gladiators performed consistently well throughout the tournament, with standout contributions from different players in every match. However, he admitted that in the final, things didn’t go as planned:

“Unfortunately, our bowlers couldn’t handle the pressure. Sikandar Raza and Kusal Perera played exceptional cricket under crucial circumstances.”

Discussing the performance of experienced pacer Mohammad Amir, Moin Khan said:

“It was a bad day for Amir, but we must remember he’s been a match-winner for us in many games.”

He praised the professionalism and dedication shown by Lahore’s players, particularly Sikandar Raza, who was instrumental in sealing the victory with his late-game performance.

“As a coach, I’m satisfied with my team’s efforts. The crowd and pressure are part of the game, and you always learn something—win or lose.”

Looking ahead, Moin emphasized the importance of revisiting strategies for future tournaments:

“We’ll need new planning for the next PSL season. Losing Wasim Jr. to injury was a setback, but he remained in good form throughout the tournament.”

Moin concluded by expressing confidence in his team’s spirit and resilience, promising that the Gladiators would come back stronger in the next edition.
