Ravi River Floodwater Enters Urban Areas, Section 144 Imposed in Lahore

A major flood surge from the Ravi River has entered Lahore’s Chung area. The strong water flow has created a serious threat to nearby urban settlements.

Hundreds of houses near Chung Theme Park were evacuated immediately. Local authorities have started emergency measures to move residents to safer locations.

To maintain control, the district administration has imposed Section 144 in Lahore. Under this law, unnecessary movement and public gatherings are strictly banned.

Rescue officials and Para Force teams are making repeated announcements in affected areas. They are urging residents to leave their homes quickly and move to safety.
