The Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Saudi Arabia has approved a comprehensive plan for holding Eid al-Adha prayers across the Kingdom. According to the official guidelines, prayers will be offered in all major mosques and designated Eid grounds — except for mosques located near Eid prayer areas where congregations typically do not gather.

As per Saudi news agencies, the ministry has instructed that the Eid prayer be held 15 minutes after sunrise, following the Umm al-Qura calendar. Maintenance and service companies have been directed to ensure all arrangements, including cleanliness, air conditioning, and lighting, are completed before the prayer.

In the Islamic calendar, the first of Dhul Hijjah was marked on Wednesday, May 28. Accordingly, the Day of Arafah (the pinnacle of Hajj) will be observed on Thursday, June 5, and Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on Friday, June 6, 2025.

Meanwhile, preparations for Hajj 2025 are in full swing. According to the Saudi General Directorate of Passports, a total of 1,330,845 pilgrims have arrived in the Kingdom so far. This includes 1,260,874 by air, 64,883 by land, and 5,088 by sea.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to facilitating the smooth arrival of pilgrims. All available resources are being utilised at airports, land crossings, and seaports to ensure hassle-free entry for guests of Allah.
