Hajj Quota

ISLAMABAD – In a significant development, Saudi Arabia has approved an additional Hajj quota of 10,000 pilgrims for Pakistan, allowing more Pakistanis to perform Hajj this year.

The approval came after a special request was made by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar during a recent conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

According to official sources, the additional quota was specifically requested for those Pakistani pilgrims who could not complete their registration before the initial deadline.

Saudi authorities accepted the request as a gesture of goodwill and in recognition of the close ties between the two countries. The development also follows the efforts of Ishaq Dar, carried out under the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

With this latest increase, a total of 189,210 Pakistani pilgrims will now have the opportunity to perform Hajj this year.
