SCO Statement Supports Pakistan’s Stance on Terrorism

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has issued a statement endorsing Pakistan’s position on terrorism. The statement condemned all forms of terrorism and emphasized that double standards in the fight against terrorism are unacceptable.

The SCO statement also strongly condemned the attacks on school buses in Jaffer Express and Khuzdar, calling for effective and coordinated action against all terrorist groups. Member states agreed to take unified measures against terrorist organizations in line with relevant United Nations resolutions and global counter-terrorism strategies.

The declaration highlighted the need for an inclusive government in Afghanistan, representing all ethnic and political groups, to ensure sustainable peace. It also reaffirmed that every nation has the right to choose its political, social, and economic path independently.

Pakistan has consistently presented evidence of cross-border terrorism to the international community. The country has also provided proof of India’s involvement in attacks such as those on the Jaffer Express and Khuzdar school buses.

The SCO statement stressed that using terrorist groups for political or mercenary purposes is unacceptable. Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts have positioned the country as an emerging net regional stabilizer in the region.
