Senior FBR Officer Dismissed Over Misconduct and Corruption Charges

Islamabad – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the dismissal of Rana Waqar Ali, a Grade-20 officer of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), following the conclusion of an official inquiry.

According to a notification issued by the FBR, the investigation found Rana Waqar Ali guilty of misconduct, inefficiency, and corruption.

After the Prime Minister’s approval, the department proceeded with his termination from service.

Despite the dismissal, the former officer reserves the right to appeal the decision.

As per procedure, he can file an appeal with the appellate authority within 30 days of the issuance of the termination order.
