Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi, in a sarcastic remark, invited the party’s “free” leadership to visit him at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, “if they can spare the time.”

Speaking to reporters at Rawalpindi’s anti-terrorism court, Qureshi reaffirmed his loyalty to PTI Chairman Imran Khan, who is also incarcerated, but emphasised the need for party leaders to seek input from imprisoned members.

“We have been jailed for over 1.5 years,” he said, referencing other detained PTI leaders, including Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Mian Mehmoodur Rashid. Qureshi quipped that their insights might prove valuable if the party leadership took the time to visit.

His daughter, Meher Bano, relayed a message about the significance of the party’s November 24 call, while his son, Zain Qureshi, shared updates on his strained position within PTI after responding to a show-cause notice.
