Sheikh Rashid Voices Concern Over Pakistan’s Current Situation: “Darkness Everywhere”

Former federal minister and Awami Muslim League leader, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, has expressed deep concern over the prevailing situation in Pakistan, describing the atmosphere in the country as filled with uncertainty and hardship.
While speaking to the media outside the anti-terrorism court after attending a hearing related to the May 9 GHQ attack case, Sheikh Rashid highlighted the growing challenges facing the country. He remarked, “There is darkness everywhere; we must pray for light and hope for positive change.”
Sheikh Rashid also questioned the practicality of the Supreme Court’s recent directive regarding the May 9 cases. The court has instructed that all cases linked to the incident should be heard daily in anti-terrorism courts, with a decision to be made within four months. He expressed doubts over the feasibility of completing 36,000 cases in such a limited time, calling it an extremely difficult task.
