Author Avatar Web Desk | 4 weeks ago
The Sindh government has declared public holidays across the province on July 5 and 6 (corresponding to 9th and 10th Muharram) in observance of Youm-e-Ashura.

According to a notification issued by the Chief Secretary Sindh, all public and private offices, as well as educational institutions, will remain closed. However, departments involved in processions and security operations will function as usual. The notification also clarifies that essential services personnel are exempt from the holiday.

The federal government has already announced nationwide holidays on these dates. In addition, strict security measures have been implemented across the country, and a ban on pillion riding will be enforced in Sindh on both days to maintain law and order.
