Islamabad: Starlink, the satellite internet service provider owned by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, has expressed its intention to set up 2 to 3 ground stations in Pakistan. According to documents from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the company plans to offer direct internet services to Pakistani users through Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites.

Starlink has already registered as a private limited company with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The company aims to expand its services and provide high-speed internet to underserved and remote areas in Pakistan, tapping into the growing demand for reliable connectivity.

The PTA has stated that once Starlink fulfils all regulatory requirements, the company will be granted a license to operate internet services in the country.
