Thatta Cement Turns Hospitality Tycoon with Massive Pearl Continental Investment

Thatta Cement Company Limited has taken a bold step into the hospitality sector with a Rs6.5 billion investment. The company has acquired a 28% stake in Pakistan Services Limited, which owns and operates the Pearl Continental Hotel chain. Thatta Cement Invests Rs6.5B in Pearl Continental Stake to diversify beyond its cement roots. By purchasing 9.1 million shares at Rs710 each, the company signals its intent to expand its portfolio. This move opens new doors for growth while creating long-term value for shareholders.
Meanwhile, Thatta Cement has strengthened its financial foundation with a Rs5.5 billion Islamic Sukuk. This Sukuk is rated, secured, listed, and privately placed. It improves the company’s capital base and supports future expansion plans. Investors showed strong confidence in the company’s management and strategy. This financial move will help Thatta Cement pursue opportunities in various industries. It also shows the company’s commitment to responsible and stable growth.

Thatta Cement Invests Rs6.5B in Pearl Continental Stake reflects a shift toward modern, responsible, and diversified business leadership.
