ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced that the prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged until November 30. This decision comes despite concerns over rising global oil prices and increased import costs.
According to the official notification issued on Friday, the price of petrol will stay at Rs 248.38 per litre, while high-speed diesel will remain priced at Rs 255.14 per litre. Additionally, the prices of light diesel and kerosene oil will also remain unchanged.
Earlier, there were reports suggesting that the government might increase the prices of petroleum products due to a high premium on global oil prices and escalating import costs. Speculations had pointed towards a possible hike of Rs 2.58 per litre for petrol and Rs 5.91 per litre for high-speed diesel.
However, after considering the situation, the government opted not to raise the prices, providing some relief to consumers who were bracing for higher fuel costs.
