“This honour belongs to the nation” — Field Marshal Asim Munir

Rawalpindi: Upon receiving the historic military honour, Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and dedicated the title to the people of Pakistan, the armed forces, and especially to the martyrs and veterans of both the military and civilian sectors.
“This is not a personal achievement,” he stated. It is an honour for the entire nation and the Pakistan Armed Forces. “I am deeply grateful to the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and the federal cabinet for their trust and confidence.”
Field Marshal Munir added, “This honour is a sacred trust of the nation, and millions like me stand ready to sacrifice for it.”
