TikToker Kashif Zameer Arrested for Disrespecting Police Uniform

TikTok star Kashif Zameer has been arrested by Lahore police after a video of him went viral showing him making fun of the police uniform.
In the video, Zameer was seen at a wedding giving a tray full of money to a police officer in uniform and then throwing the cash. Officials say this act insulted the police force and hurt its image.
Later, Zameer shared a changed version of the video where the police uniform’s color was edited using AI to avoid legal trouble. However, the original video had already been seen widely.
Police have filed a case against both Zameer and the officer under the Cyber Crime Law (PECA) and other serious charges. The police officer was also arrested for taking part in the video.
This is not the first time Zameer has been in trouble. In 2021, he was arrested for tricking Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan (famous for Dirilis: Ertugrul) by giving him a fake cheque of Rs90 million. Zameer has also been linked to other fraud cases in Lahore, Sialkot, and Toba Tek Singh.
