Trump Claims U.S. Has Eliminated Iran’s Nuclear Threat

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that the United States has removed the nuclear threat posed by Iran and that Israel is now safer as a result.

Trump confirmed that U.S. forces successfully carried out airstrikes on three major Iranian nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. According to Reuters, a U.S. official stated that B-2 bomber aircraft were involved in the strikes.

Speaking at the White House, President Trump warned that “either there will be peace, or Iran will face a much greater tragedy.” He added that many Iranian targets remain under surveillance and can be hit within minutes if necessary. Trump further warned that if peace is not achieved, future strikes will be faster and more intense.

He accused Iran of chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” for the past 40 years and blamed the country for killing and injuring American personnel in the Middle East through roadside bomb attacks. “I made the decision long ago that this must stop,” Trump said.

Trump also congratulated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying, “We worked together as a team in a way perhaps never seen before.” He praised U.S. military personnel for what he described as a “historic achievement”.

U.S. media reports revealed that six bunker buster bombs were used in the attack on the Fordow nuclear site, while 30 Tomahawk missiles were fired at other Iranian nuclear facilities.
