Trump Denies Macron’s Claim About Israel-Iran Ceasefire Talks

U.S. President Donald Trump has rejected French President Emmanuel Macron’s claim that he returned to Washington to work on a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
Posting on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the situation was much more serious than just a temporary pause in hostilities. He accused Macron of spreading false information for media attention.
“Macron wrongly said I left the G7 Summit to focus on a ceasefire. Wrong! He has no idea why I returned. It’s much bigger than that,” Trump wrote.
The statement comes after Macron reportedly claimed that Trump had initiated a proposal for talks aimed at reaching a ceasefire and potentially a wider peace agreement between Israel and Iran.
