Trump warns Elon Musk of “Consequences” if he donates to Democrats

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a warning to Elon Musk, cautioning him of “serious consequences” if he donates to the Democratic Party.

According to Al Jazeera, Trump, in a recent interview, stated that his ties with Musk are “over” and there is no possibility of reconciliation. However, he did not specify what the “consequences” might be.

Elon Musk has previously been one of the major donors to Trump and other Republican figures, but their relationship has soured—primarily over disagreements related to tax cut legislation.

Trump also hinted during a conversation with reporters that he may consider terminating government contracts with Musk’s companies, Tesla and SpaceX.

Meanwhile, Trump’s aides and Republican donors have urged both men to resolve their differences, warning that continued conflict could lead to serious political and economic fallout.
