Trump Warns of More Sanctions on India

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the sanctions placed on India are only the beginning, and tougher measures are yet to come. He said India could face serious problems due to its continued purchase of oil from Russia, as Washington is working to cut Moscow’s revenue streams.

Speaking to the media at the White House, Trump said that the U.S. policy has already cost Russia billions of dollars. He added that both India and China are among the biggest buyers of Russian oil and warned that India would feel the impact of these sanctions.

On the growing ties between Russia and China, Trump showed no concern, saying that the United States has the most powerful military in the world and neither country would dare to use force against America.

Regarding the war in Ukraine, Trump expressed disappointment with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should hold direct talks. According to Trump, Putin must decide whether he wants to keep the U.S. satisfied or risk consequences if America is displeased.

Trump also claimed that during his presidency he stopped seven wars, but “nobody talks about it.” He called America a great nation and stressed the need to fix what he described as mistakes made under the current leadership. He further said efforts are underway to eliminate crime and drug problems within the U.S.
