The United Arab Emirates has introduced a new 100-dirham currency note.

According to the Emirates News Agency, the new note is made from polymer instead of paper and features advanced security features. It incorporates modern technologies such as Spark Flow Dimensions and Kinegram Colors to help prevent counterfeiting.

The design of the new note is in various shades of red, with the front displaying the historic Umm Al Quwain Fort, and the back featuring images of the Fujairah Port and the Union Rail.

Additionally, Braille markings have been included on the note to help visually impaired individuals easily identify its value. The UAE Central Bank has confirmed that the new 100-dirham note will be valid alongside the old one.
