President’s Trophy Final
Rawalpindi – While Pakistan’s national team faces severe criticism after a disappointing ICC Champions Trophy campaign, domestic cricket has witnessed an extraordinary moment in the President’s Trophy Final in Rawalpindi.

A rare and remarkable incident occurred during the final match between PTV and State Bank, where four wickets fell in just three deliveries on the first day of play.

How it happened – A dramatic overture

PTV’s bowler Shehzad produced a sensational spell in the 27th over of the innings:

  • On the third delivery, he dismissed Umar Amin.
  • On the very next ball, Fawad Alam was also sent back to the pavilion.
  • As Saud Shakeel was set to arrive at the crease, an unexpected turn of events occurred. The umpires declared him timed out as he failed to reach the field within the stipulated time.
  • Irfan Niazi then came in to bat, but Shehzad clean-bowled him on the fifth ball, completing a stunning hat-trick.

This extraordinary sequence of dismissals saw four batters return to the pavilion in just three legal deliveries, making it a one-of-a-kind moment in cricket history.
