US Congressional Delegation Terms Pakistan Visit ‘Highly Productive’, Eyes Stronger Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD — A delegation of United States Congress members visiting Pakistan has termed their recent trip as highly successful and productive, voicing optimism for stronger and deeper ties between the two nations.
During the visit, the lawmakers met with Pakistan’s top political and military leadership to discuss a range of bilateral issues. According to the delegation, the meetings laid a strong foundation for enhancing cooperation in key areas, particularly in strategic and economic sectors.
Congressman Jack Bergman, who led the delegation, emphasized the enduring importance of the Pakistan-US relationship. “The significance of our partnership is undeniable and will remain relevant in the years to come,” he said.
He noted that improved cooperation would not only benefit both countries but also positively impact developing regions across the globe. A central theme of the discussions was mineral development, which Bergman described as a critical area of collaboration.
“By promoting innovation and adopting new mining technologies, we can help establish resilient industrial sectors that contribute to the global economy,” Bergman said, while stressing shared values between the two countries. “Our relationship is vital because both nations believe in the principles of freedom.”
Congressman Thomas Suozzi also addressed the media, opening his remarks with a friendly “Assalamualaikum” and thanking the Pakistani people for their warm hospitality.
