Violent Protests Erupt in Karachi After Road Accident, 11 Vehicles Set on Fire

KARACHI – Violent protests broke out in different parts of Karachi after a tragic road accident in North Karachi left a motorcyclist injured. The incident sparked anger among locals, leading to the torching of at least 11 heavy vehicles, including dumpers, trucks, and water tankers.

According to details, the accident occurred in the Nagan Chowrangi area, where a speeding dumper truck hit a motorcyclist. The injured rider was identified as 23-year-old Daniyal, who was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Following the accident, enraged residents took to the streets in protest. In the North Karachi Power House area alone, five dumpers were set on fire. Meanwhile, at Madiha Stop in North Karachi, protesters torched three water tankers and an ice truck.

Another incident was reported in Surjani Town near Baba Mor, where a water tanker was set ablaze by angry demonstrators.
